After ten years of holding fast to your commitment, stretching past your comfort to accommodate the promise you made, giving countlessly of yourself- mind, body, and soul, all you get for the ten year anniversary is tin? Like a metal can. Or a roll of aluminum foil. What am I supposed to do, cook up something else?
Ten years ago today, I had the idea to start a blog. I didn’t write my first blog until August, almost 8 months later but I began crafting the vision that became “For Lack Of Better Words.” I needed a space that was mine and for my art so I created one. It gives me that nostalgic Myspace energy- choosing colors, updating layouts, adding pictures, using my words to secretly send messages to people that I have a crush on or need to fight the power against *big cheesy grin*.
Over the years, For Lack Of Better Words Blog has housed my passion for writing and art even when other sites denied my work or rejected it’s relevance. Here, we shared without apology or gaze. I’m forever grateful. And I’m Pumped! This year, I feel compelled to post more than ever before. I can’t wait for yall to get this work!!! Wait… I guess I am cooking up something!
So Cheers to Ten Years! This year… I got big things planned. Below are some of the articles that made the biggest impact! Feel free to have a re-read!

Tried to leave a comment but WordPress sent all sorts of error messages 🫠 here’s what I said:
Congrats! I look forward to seeing what you “cook up” using your anniversary tin 😁

Will do! I have poetry night at Resist recurring on my calendar. Also loving the writing prompt workbook. I am writing a memoir, so the workbook helps me to do some writing just for me… but also possibly a journal to revisit for future writing projects hahaha.
