Return My Hour, This is a Stick Up! … I mean, Good Morning!

By 734AM, the kid and I are usually getting dressed and/or heading out of the door. Instead, he’s beside me snoring softly while I am still in pajamas writing with you. Thankfully, we have options this morning and justifications.

Option: Let him sleep in, daddy can take him to daycare so I’m not late for work!
Justification: Let him sleep in, It’s his birthday tomorrow. He can do what he wants… with my guidance of course!
Common Denominator: Let him sleep in!

I’ve always wanted to be a before-the-sun writer and technically, if day light savings is not considered, it’s only 637AM! Look at me!

Considering that winter brings about anxiety and depression on account of the long dark days and reckoning with what matters in life, I should be thankful for extra hour of day light. Spring will be here in about 10 days and I get to do one of my favorite things…. put my winter coat away! I legit hate wearing that monstrosity of fabric and formlessness!

This week I will embrace that extra sunlight while hosting my son’s little birthday party! He’s turning 4! Can you believe it?

I’ll embrace the sun for evening scrolls around my neighborhood listening to whatever book, if I can finally land on a book to read. (It’s been on my TDL for a month!)

I’ll embrace the sun for … oops, lil homie just woke up. I gotta go!

Embrace the sun, yall! Let’s be thankful for the light shinning in!
